Older Dog Care

So lately Buttons has been showing his age. He acts a little slow when we are out on walks, he has little spats with other dogs, and he has full out shakes when there is a thunderstorm outside. I found this article, Senior Dogs: Common Behavior Changes, helpful in helping me to understand the changes going on with my aging dog. It also proved useful with suggestions on how to "treat" these behavior changes.

On a sad note, I just saw on twitter that Buddy is set to be euthanized on Wednesday, March 17. Buddy, like my dog, is a Labrador/Newfoundland mix. My heart goes out to him and I hope that they will find what could be Buttons' brother a home.
